Lecture Title: Look into the future

Žan Čander holds a Master’s degree in Health and Social Sciences, specializing in Emergency Health Conditions. He works as a paramedic within the Emergency Medical Services in Maribor, Slovenia.
In addition to his clinical work, he serves as a contracted reservist in the Slovenian Armed Forces, within the Military Medical Unit, and is an active volunteer firefighter, contributing to emergency response and rescue operations in his community.

He is the President of IMRUA Slovenia and a member of the IMRUA Board, where he plays an active role in developing professional standards and training in the field of mass casualty and disaster response.
As an international instructor, he specializes in Medical Response to Major Incidents and Disasters, as well as Emergency Medical and Multi-Agency Response to Chemical Incidents. He is also a certified instructor in First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Immediate Life Support (ILS), working with the Slovenian Red Cross and the Nurses and Midwives Association of Slovenia.

Through his diverse roles, he combines frontline emergency care, military medical expertise, firefighting experience, and international education to strengthen preparedness and response capabilities across multiple sectors.
