Lecture Title: “Motorcycle Rescue Unit : A Rapid Response Model for Urban Emergency Systems in Malaysia and Philippines”
Mohd Taufiq Bin Abd Sattar is a Fire and Rescue Instructor with the Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department, currently serving at the Malaysia Fire and Rescue Academy, Eastern Region in Terengganu.
His professional focus includes Emergency Response Systems, the development of Technical Rescue training programs, and applied research in Fire and Rescue operations. He brings extensive operational and instructional experience in Road Traffic Incident Management, Motorcycle Rescue Unit (MRU) systems, Ambulance Emergency Driving Techniques, and response strategies for Electric and Hybrid Vehicle fire and rescue incidents.
In addition, he is highly experienced in Swift Water Rescue, Cave Rescue, Public Safety Diving Operations, and as a member of the Smokejumpers Parachute Team. He also serves as a Diving Medical Assistant, contributing to Dive Safety Management, Emergency Medical Preparedness, and hyperbaric-related operational considerations within diving safety environments.
